The DC Gator Club is awarding two $1250 book scholarships to University of Florida students from the DC Metro area.
Graduating high school seniors and current UF students are eligible (you must be accepted or enrolled for the Fall 2008 semester). All scholarship packets are due no later than May 30th.

The DC Gator Club is sponsoring a UF/USO care package stuffing party on Saturday, May 31st in support of International Gator Day.
Last year we had a super event, stuffing 5,000 care packages to be sent to our deployed men and women.
The event starts at Ft. Belvoir at 9 a.m. sharp. (Directions to the USO warehouse at Ft. Belvoir will be emailed to all participants). We expect the event to run until about 1 p.m.
All participants need to bring is the Volunteer Pass (which again will be emailed to participants the week before) for their car. This pass will get you through the gate. The USO will have all the care package ingredients ready for us to stuff.
Volunteers need to make sure they have their Driver’s License, Car Registration and Proof of Insurance. They won’t let you bring your car on base without these three items.
Please wear shorts, closed toe shoes, and T-shirts (It tends to get a bit warm and you move around a lot) and Gator gear if you can (for pictures).

The defending Capital Alumni Network (CAN) Soccer champions are looking for more players for the 2008 season. Please join fellow University of Florida alumni in our quest to repeat as league champions. The team is in need of women to fill a few open roster spots.
